Support is tailored to each family and may include lactation and feeding guidance, weaning support, and early developmental care from birth through the early years.
I work collaboratively with parents to support the whole child — including feeding, sleep, regulation, movement, play, and early development — using a calm, evidence-based approach that adapts as your baby grows.
About Me
This is your unique journey, and I would be honoured to be part of it.
Hello, I’m Niyati — an experienced Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and Paediatric & Neonatal Occupational Therapist, based in Lisbon.
I trained and practised in London for over two decades and now provide care from Lisbon, maintaining strong continuity for families in Lisbon, London, and worldwide. Support is available in person in Lisbon and London, and virtually for families globally.
I have over 20 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, working in Neonatal Intensive Care Units and in the community with infants and young children. My work includes supporting premature babies, twins and triplets, and children with additional needs and disabilities.
Over the past four years, I have specialised in lactation and infant feeding support, helping families with concerns such as:
-
Low milk supply
-
Mastitis and painful feeding
-
Combination feeding
-
Bottle feeding
-
Feeding transitions
The early months and years of parenting can feel joyful, overwhelming, and everything in between. I support families with a wide range of concerns, including:
-
Breastfeeding and bottle feeding
-
Weaning and feeding development
-
Sleep and regulation
-
Dressing, bathing, and daily routines
-
Play, interaction, and early motor development
I am passionate about offering holistic, individualised care that looks beyond feeding alone. You are your child’s expert, and I work alongside parents using a family-centred, evidence-based approach that respects your goals and values.
Each consultation, whether in person or virtual, includes time to understand your situation and what matters most to you. Together, we create a collaborative plan that supports your baby’s development and helps you feel more confident and supported.
During this tender and transformative stage of life, my aim is to offer calm, practical guidance so you can make nourishing and nurturing choices that feel right for your family.
I look forward to supporting you.
